The CMPD Blue Hornets Baseball Club

2011 marked the inaugural season for the CMPD Blue Hornets Baseball club, a team comprised of fully sworn officers from all divisions of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Our Mission is to give officers an outlet to play competitive baseball while raising funds for non-profit organizations. Our goal is to establish program reliability that will open more opportunities to participate in local and national tournaments, charitable fundraisers and community events.

Next Game

The CMPD Blue Hornets will play the NY/NJ Port Authority Police Department on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 7:00p.m. We will play at Jack Hughes Park located in Pineville, N.C. Great Balls of Fire, which proudly sponsors the Blue Hornets is continuing our raffle of great prizes that will be given away during each inning. We are proud to announce that all proceeds of the raffle will be donated to the Carroll family. Please see any CMPD baseball player for raffle tickets. They are $5.00 a piece or 5 for 20 bucks! On behalf of the 2012 team, we thank you for your continued support. Also, you do not have to be present to win. We will deliver your 42" flat screen!
